General information

Atomic Age is a period of nuclear technology development starting with the launch of the first nuclear power reactor "Chicago Pile-1" in December 1942. Further progress of the nuclear industry took place during the next decades which makes up for an important part of modern technological era.
The brand new Vostok Europe Atomic Age line acknowledges these technologacal advances. The Chrono line is dedicated to Andrei Sakharov, a Soviet nuclear physicist, dissident, Nobel laureate, and activist for disarmament, peace and human rights. Being a chief-designer of the Soviet thermonuclear weapons, Sakharov later became an advocate of civil liberties and civil reforms in the Soviet Union, for which he faced state persecution. These efforts earned him the Nobel Peace Prize in 1975.
A unique techno-futuristic, polygonal shaped case is combined with tritium illumination and the best movements. The case consists of two metal parts welded and fixed by two rivets. The hands are brushed and skeletonized and the dials have complex grain texture. 
Each piece comes with a pre-mounted stainless steel bracelet in an genuine red Vostok Europe Dry Box which also includes a tool to change the bracelet.
