General information Atomic Age is a period of nuclear technology development starting with the launch of the first nuclear power reactor "Chicago Pile-1" in December 1942. Further progress of the nuclear industry took place during the next decades which makes up for an important part of modern technological era.
The brand new Vostok Europe Atomic Age line acknowledges these technologacal advances. Specifically the Automatic line honors Enrico Fermi, an American physicist and creator of the world's first nuclear reactor. He is also called the "architect of the nuclear age". Fermi was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1938; made significant contributions to the development of statistical mechanics, quantum theory and nuclear and particle physics.
A unique techno-futuristic, polygonal shaped case is combined with tritium illumination and the best movements. The case consists of two metal parts welded and fixed by two rivets. The hands are brushed and skeletonized and the dials have complex grain texture. Newly designed silicone straps with ventilation holes provide outstanding comfort for everyday use.
Each piece comes with a total of 2 straps (silicone and leather) in an genuine red Vostok Europe Dry Box which also includes a tool to change the straps.
