General information
1 Ceres is the name of an astronomical object which is located in the asteroid belt of Mars and Jupiter. Although it was discovered more than 200 years ago, science put Ceres through several definitions: planet, asteroid, dwarf planet and finally an asteroid. Ceres became famous because it was the very first asteroid put under long-term observation by NASA's spacecraft Dawn. From 2015 to 2018 Dawn provided images, scientific insights and more data important for further space exploration.
Vostok Europe's 'Ceres Asteroid' Special Edition comes with a sophisticated and fresh design. The dial is made from Hermes Grey Marble from Türkiye. In order to create perfect dials, the marble is cut into 0.5 mm thin slices. Pieces with cracks or defects are sorted out right away. Afterwards, holes for the hands and sub-dials are cut out - indices and print scales are applied. All these steps are made by hand, thus, each dial is not just unique due to the marble structure but also a masterpiece due to excellent craftmanship.
Bicolor glowing luminous indexes and hands emphasize the new look. The stainless steel case with a black PVD plated bezel is 20 atm water resistant.
Each piece comes in a beautiful Vostok Europe gift box and includes one pre-mounted "astronaut style" leather strap.
