General information
The design of this Vostok Europe collection draws inspiration from the periodic table of chemical elements, also known as Systema Periodicum in Latin. It is a groundbreaking construct in modern chemistry, equally revered in physics and various scientific disciplines.
Created in 1869, it organizes all 118 known elements today and describes characteristics of new undiscovered chemical elements, marking it as one of the most notable achievements in the realm of science.
Each model of the Systema Periodicum collection is a unique homage to a specific chemical element. The case back contains a description of the element (in English), accompanied by its elemental symbol and associated chemical figures.
The scientific heritage of this model series is evident in a synthesis of elegance and intellectual rigor. In other words: it showcases the connection between artistry and the fundamental elements that shape our understanding of the physical world.
Highlighted is the distinctive "Bullhead" case design. In this design, the crown is positioned at 12h, with the chronograph pushers located next to it. This arrangement makes it easier to operate the chronograph and adjust the time, requiring less wrist twisting. Additionally, the case back adds a technical sophistication: it is not flat as usual, but rather asymmetrical / slightly curved. This enhances wearing comfort and simplifies time readability.
The color combination of each model reflects the element's view in a regular environment.
This model depicts OXYGEN a colorless and odorless gas which is an extremely important component of the atmosphere (about 21%) and necessary for life on Earth. It is usually associated with the color white.
